6063 aluminum alloy is a medium-strength heat-tremble strengthening alloy in AL-Mg-Si system. Mg and Si are the main alloying elements. It has excellent processing properties, excellent weldability, extrudability, and electroplating properties, and good Corrosion resistance, toughness, easy polishing, color film, excellent anodizing effect, is a typically extruded alloy.

6063 aluminum alloy is widely used in the construction of aluminum doors and windows, curtain wall frame, in order to ensure high wind pressure resistance, assembly performance, corrosion resistance and decorative performance of doors, windows and curtain walls, the comprehensive performance requirements of aluminum alloy profiles are much higher than industrial Profile standard. 6063 is the most common alloy used for aluminium extrusion. Applications requiring higher strength typically use 6061 or 6082 instead.

PROCESS

Anodizing is an electro-chemical process, which physically alters the surface of the metal to produce a tough oxide layer on the surface.

It is mill finish aluminum before anodizing process, the anodizing production will be done in the tanks for the anodizing film, which can increases the thickness of the oxide coating on the aluminium improving its resistance to abrasion.  The anodizing processes can be alkali etching and acid etching; also some extruders make the polishing, sand blasting or shot blasting operation on the aluminum profile before anodizing to remove the die line and scratch.

APPLICATIONS

Anodising is widely used in window and door, curtain wall, industrial profiles and decoration profiles.

COLOURS

The anodizing colors can be matt silver, anodized champagne, anodized bronze, anodized black, anodized gold and some other colors.
